Things to Do at Seven Springs This Summer
From the resort pool and alpine slide to Ohiopyle whitewater, here's how to fill a summer weekend at Seven Springs with the whole group.

Seven Springs isn't just a winter mountain. Once the snow melts, the Laurel Highlands turn into one of the best summer playgrounds in Pennsylvania — and Mountain Haven puts your whole group right in the middle of it. Here's how we'd spend a summer weekend.
Start at the pool
The outdoor resort pool is open through Labor Day, and it's the easy win for groups with kids (or anyone who just wants a lounge chair and sunshine). It's a short hop from the house, with plenty of seating and a covered pavilion for shade. Back at Mountain Haven, the private hot tub on the deck is open year-round for the evening wind-down.
Get on the mountain
- Alpine slide & mountain coaster — the kids will ask to go again and again.
- Mountain biking — lift-served trails for the adventurous, mellower paths for everyone else.
- Highlands Golf Course — it's a short walk from the front door, so the golfers in your group can sneak in a round before breakfast.
Go a little farther
The Laurel Highlands reward a short drive:
- Ohiopyle State Park (about 25 minutes) — whitewater rafting on the Youghiogheny, waterfalls, and miles of trails.
- Fallingwater (about 30 minutes) — Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece is one of the most famous houses in the world, and tickets sell out, so book ahead.
- Local wineries and distilleries — a relaxed afternoon option for the adults.
Cook in, gather, repeat
The best part of a group trip is the downtime. Mountain Haven sleeps 16+ across 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with a full kitchen built to cook for the crowd and a wet bar for the evenings. Grill on the deck, eat with a woods view, and let the kids disappear into the bunk loft.
Summer weekends fill fast — and the pool closes after Labor Day. If you're thinking about it, join our list for availability and a direct-booking offer, or send us your dates.
