Villas over to the resort core, and the All-Day Adventure Pass bundles 11-plus activities — so a mixed-age group can spend a whole day between the resort pools, the Alpine Slide, mini-golf, and the lake without ever moving the cars. (For everyday swims, the free community pool is a short walk from the house — no pass needed.)
When the weather turns, bowling, the arcade, and the Bear Trap Fun Zone keep everyone busy under cover — just a short shuttle ride from the door, with no scrambling for a Plan B.

Family reunion FAQs
Do you provide cribs, high chairs, or baby gates?+
We keep a pack-n-play and a high chair on hand for our youngest guests; just let us know your needs when you book so everything is set up before you arrive. We don't keep permanent baby gates installed, so if you're traveling with a crawler, bring a travel gate or ask us and we'll do our best to accommodate. Diaper-changing space and a tub for little ones are available.
How does pool access work, and is there a shuttle?+
The Mt. Villas community pool is a short walk from the house, free for our guests, and open Memorial Day through Labor Day — no pass needed. The resort's own pools (indoor year-round, outdoor plus hot tubs in the warmer months) are separate: those are for hotel guests and All-Day Adventure Pass holders, so plan on Adventure Passes if you want resort pool time along with the Alpine Slide and other resort activities. Mountain Haven sits right on the Highlands Golf Course at Mt. Villas, so you walk to the first tee but ride the free resort shuttle the short distance to the slopes, lodge, and spa — keep your own vehicles for off-site outings like Idlewild and Ohiopyle.
What are the best rainy-day options for the kids?+
Laurel Caverns (40 min) is a perfect rainy-day pick at a constant 52 degrees, with an easy lighted family tour and gem panning. A short free shuttle ride away at the resort core, the indoor Bear Trap Fun Zone, bowling, and arcade keep kids busy under cover (the resort's indoor pool requires a hotel stay or Adventure Pass). Caddie Shak's arcade is another covered option.
Where is the nearest grocery store?+
Highlands Market is less than a mile from the resort’s main gate (about a 3-minute drive) and stocks fresh meats, cheeses, baked goods, specialty groceries, and a cafe for crafted-to-order sandwiches and pizza, plus beer and wine. For a full-size supermarket and bulk reunion shopping, larger grocery stores are about 20-30 minutes out toward Somerset or Donegal.
Which attractions are stroller-friendly for little ones?+
Living Treasures Wild Animal Park (10 min) has flat, stroller-easy paths and is the best bet for toddlers. Idlewild & SoakZone is largely stroller-friendly with paved paths and rental strollers available. Cucumber Falls is a very short walk but the path is natural surface, so a carrier works better than a stroller for the youngest kids.
How are the kids’ sleeping arrangements set up?+
The home sleeps 16-plus and includes a dedicated kids’ bunk loft, so cousins can pile in together while the grown-ups take the bedrooms. Let us know your group’s age mix and we can suggest the best room assignments; we can also provide the pack-n-play for the youngest travelers.
