Who runs the mountain
Seven Springs is a Vail Resorts mountain
Seven Springs started as a farm. In 1932, Adolph and Helen Dupre, immigrants from Bavaria, bought 275 acres and founded Seven Springs Farm, and the resort dates its skiing to 1937.
On Dec. 31, 2021, Vail Resorts closed its purchase of Seven Springs, Hidden Valley Resort and Laurel Mountain Ski Area from Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Inc. and its affiliates, for about $118 million. The three mountains joined Epic Pass products starting with the 2022–23 season.
What that means for your trip: tickets and passes run through Vail’s Epic system. Lift-ticket prices change by date, the number sold each day is capped, tickets and passes load into the My Epic app, and pass holders get Vail’s Epic Mountain Rewards discounts on rentals, lessons and food.

Decision guide
Which one should you buy?
A rough guide using the Oct. 28 adult prices. The math shifts with ages, holidays and how many other Epic mountains you’ll visit.
If you’ll ski
1–3 days, no holidays
Epic Day Pass (22 resorts, no peak dates)
$72 for 1 day, $131 for 2, $184 for 3
Three days on the pass cost less than two of the busiest-day tickets we saw ($136 each).
If you’ll ski
4–7 days
Epic Day Pass, 4 to 7 days
$228–$337, or $57 down to $49 a day
The lowest per-day price on the mountain. The days don’t have to be consecutive.
If you’ll ski
Any day on Nov. 27–28, Dec. 26–31, Jan. 16 or Feb. 13–14
Epic Day Pass with peak dates, or a season pass
Peak option: +$44 on a 4-day pass
Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas week, MLK Saturday and Presidents’ Day weekend are Day Pass peak dates.
If you’ll ski
9+ weekdays
Northeast Midweek Pass
$529 adult, $400 senior
Our math: the 7-day Epic Day Pass plus two $105 weekday tickets is $547, already more than this pass.
If you’ll ski
10+ days, weekends included
Northeast Value Pass
$704 adult, $529 teen or senior
Our math: the 7-day Day Pass plus three $136 weekend tickets is $745. And no blackouts at the three local mountains.
If you’ll ski
Seven Springs plus a trip out west
Epic Local or Epic Pass
$869 or $1,169 adult; ages 13–30 pay about 20% less
Both are unlimited at Seven Springs. Pick the Epic Pass if the western trip lands on a holiday.
If you’ll ski
Not ready to commit, or it’s after the deadline

Lift tickets
What a day ticket costs at Seven Springs
Seven Springs prices tickets by date, and the resort says the biggest savings come from buying online 7 or more days ahead. These are snapshots from its own ticket calendar on Oct. 28, 2026; “same day” is the price for buying on the day.
| Day type | Adult online | Adult same day | Child online | Child same day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WeekdaysFri Dec. 4, Tue Jan. 12, Tue Feb. 9, Tue Mar. 9 | $105 | $117 | $85 | $94 |
| Regular SaturdaysSat Jan. 2, Sat Mar. 13 | $129 | $143 | $103 | $114 |
| Busiest days we checkedSat Dec. 19, Sun Dec. 27, Sat Jan. 16, Sat Feb. 13 | $136 | $151 | $110 | $121 |
One-day tickets. Adult = ages 13–64, child = 5–12. Seniors 65+ were $68 online / $76 same day on Dec. 4. Kids 4 and under ski free with a ticket picked up at the window (the child must be there).
Capped every day
Seven Springs limits lift tickets each day and says popular days will sell out. Same-day tickets are sold online and at the window, but only while the day isn’t sold out.
Refundable until 5 p.m.
Unused days are fully refundable until 5 p.m. local time on the last day of the ticket, at the ticket window or by phone. Partly used tickets need proof of injury or illness.
Online beats the window
Online was $12 to $15 cheaper than the same-day price on every date we checked, and the resort says buying 7 or more days ahead brings the biggest savings.
Multi-day flexibility
A 2-day ticket works on any 2 days in a 3-day window, 3-day in 5, 4-day in 6, 5-day in 8. Six days or more get three extra days of slack.
Seven Springs only
A lift ticket is valid only at the resort you bought it for, and it’s non-transferable. Hidden Valley and Laurel Mountain sell their own.
Pickup, afternoons, military
Bought 9+ days ahead in the U.S.? It’s mailed; otherwise use the window or the My Epic app. Afternoon tickets are sold same-day at the window. Military tickets are sold at the window or by phone, with ID.
Early-December heads-up: when we checked on Oct. 28, the online calendar showed no tickets for Monday to Thursday, Dec. 7–10 and Dec. 14–17 (listed as sold out), while every date from Fri, Dec. 18 on was available. If you’re planning an early-December midweek trip, look at the calendar before you book anything.
Head to head
Epic Day Pass vs. lift tickets
Both get you a day on the lifts. The Epic Day Pass costs less per day, but you commit before passes come off sale. Lift tickets cost more and stay refundable.

| Choosing the day | Later. Use your days any time this season (peak dates need the add-on). | Now. Each ticket is for set dates. |
| Refunds | Non-refundable, but Epic Coverage refunds for injury, job loss or resort closure | Unused days refundable until 5 p.m. on the last day |
| Where | Seven Springs and the other resorts in the tier you pick | Seven Springs only |

Same pass, three mountains
Hidden Valley and Laurel Mountain
Hidden Valley and Laurel Mountain came with Seven Springs in Vail’s 2021 purchase and sit less than 30 minutes away. The Epic Pass, Epic Local and Northeast Value Pass cover both every day; the Northeast Midweek Pass covers them Monday to Friday. A Seven Springs lift ticket does not.
Hidden Valley Resort
A laid-back, family-focused mountain with two terrain parks and night skiing. A friendly place to learn.
Ticket calendar starts Sat, Dec. 12
Laurel Mountain
A historic, low-key ski area in Laurel Mountain State Park, home to Lower Wildcat, a double-black that averages close to a 60% grade.
Ticket calendar starts Sat, Dec. 19

Good to know
Lift ticket & Epic Pass questions, answered
How much is a Seven Springs lift ticket in 2026–27?+
It depends on the date. On Seven Springs’ own ticket calendar, checked Oct. 28, 2026, an adult (13–64) one-day ticket bought online was $105 on weekdays such as Fri, Dec. 4 and Tue, Feb. 9; $129 on regular Saturdays such as Jan. 2; and $136 on the busiest days we checked (Dec. 19, Dec. 27, Jan. 16 and Feb. 13). Buying the same day cost $12 to $15 more. Kids 5–12 were $85 to $110 online, kids 4 and under ski free with a ticket from the window, and adult night tickets started at $79.
Is Seven Springs on the Epic Pass?+
Yes. Vail Resorts has owned Seven Springs since Dec. 31, 2021, and the mountain has been on Epic Pass products since the 2022–23 season. For 2026–27 it’s on the Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass and Northeast Value Pass (unlimited, no blackout dates), the Northeast Midweek Pass (Monday to Friday) and the 1-to-7-day Epic Day Pass. The four season passes also cover sister mountains Hidden Valley and Laurel Mountain.
When is the Epic Pass deadline for 2026–27?+
There are two. First, prices go up Nov. 15, 2026, per the banner on epicpass.com. Second, passes come off sale completely in early December. Vail hadn’t published the 2026–27 off-sale date as of Oct. 28; last season it pulled every Epic pass, Epic Day Passes included, on Dec. 4, 2025. After that, the only way onto the lifts without a pass is a lift ticket.
How much are Seven Springs tubing tickets? Does the Epic Pass include tubing?+
Tubing isn’t included with any Epic pass. Tickets are sold separately as two-hour sessions; a Saturday, Dec. 19 session was $45 online when we checked. Riders must be at least 42 inches tall, capacity is limited (buy online ahead), and refunds need 24 hours’ notice. The tubing park reopens in December.
Are Seven Springs lift tickets refundable?+
Yes. Unused days on a day ticket are fully refundable until 5 p.m. local time on the last day of the ticket, at the ticket window or by phone. Partly used tickets can be refunded for injury or illness with verification. Unused night tickets are refundable within 72 hours after the ticket date. Epic Day Passes are not refundable, but they include Epic Coverage.
Is the Epic Day Pass cheaper than a lift ticket at Seven Springs?+
Usually, if you buy it before passes come off sale. The 22-resort Epic Day Pass without peak dates was $72 for one day and $49 a day for seven on Oct. 28, against $105 to $136 for an online day ticket on the dates we checked. The trade-offs: the Day Pass is non-refundable, and you need its peak-date option to ski Nov. 27–28, Dec. 26–31, Jan. 16 or Feb. 13–14.
Does the Northeast Midweek Pass work during Christmas week?+
At Seven Springs, yes, on weekdays. The pass covers Monday to Friday all season at Seven Springs, Hidden Valley and Laurel Mountain, peak dates included. Its restricted dates (Nov. 27 and Dec. 28–31) apply only at Okemo, Mount Snow, Hunter and Stowe. It never covers Saturdays or Sundays.
Can I use a Seven Springs lift ticket at Hidden Valley or Laurel Mountain?+
No. Lift tickets are valid only at the resort you buy them for. To ski all three on one product, use a pass: the Epic, Epic Local and Northeast Value passes cover all three every day, and the Northeast Midweek Pass covers them Monday to Friday.
Who owns Seven Springs?+
Vail Resorts. It closed its purchase of Seven Springs, Hidden Valley and Laurel Mountain on Dec. 31, 2021, for about $118 million, buying them from Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Inc. and its affiliates. The resort traces its roots to Seven Springs Farm, founded in 1932 by Adolph and Helen Dupre, and has offered skiing since 1937.
Do Epic pass holders get discounts on rentals and lessons?+
Yes. Epic Mountain Rewards, included with every Epic pass and the Epic Day Pass, takes 20% off food, lodging, group lessons and equipment rentals. The rental discount applies only to the pass holder’s own gear. Without a pass, booking rentals online still saves money: an all-day package was $69 online against $80 walk-up.
